6 bartlett or Anjou pears.
One cup of cranberries finely chopped.
1/2 cup of white wine
1 stick butter
1 cup brown sugar
One can of whipped cream
A piece of semi-sweet chocolate for shaving.
Peel and cut up the pears into small chunks about 1/4 inch in size.
Take the cranberries and finely chop in a mini food chopper.
Melt the butter in a sautee pan.
Add the pears, cranberries, wine and brown sugar.
Cover and let simmer on low for about 15 minutes until the pears are tender.
Take six individual dessert glasses with a stem and squirt about half full with whipped cream.
When the pears are done, spoon about 2-3 tablespoons with liquid included over the whipped cream. It will bubble and resemble a cloud. Sprinkle with shaved chocolate and serve immediately.
