Stroll down Washington, NC's Main Street to charming shops, antique stores, or find a wonderful dessert and coffee spot. There are a variety of restaurants. Washington, NC offers a sailing school and several marinas for the boater or Goose Creek State Park for the hiker. Everything in Washington, NC is relaxing and unhurried, the way life should be everywhere.
The City of Washington,NC is rich in history, and offers wonderful art galleries and cozy shops to wander in on Main Street. The Riverwalk along the wide Pamlico River is great for a stroll or an early morning run. It connects to a boardwalk that has turtles to watch with duck families skimming past. Don't forget the Estuaraium with its interesting exhibits next to the new Park along the river. Events happen here year round so check them out on the city website.
