Georgia Peach Bread

What could be better than combining 2 Georgia treasures, peaches with pecans! This delicious bread always brings rave reviews. For a great variation, add some mashed bananas. Ingredients: 1/2 cup shortening 1 1/2 cups sugar 2 eggs 2 1/4 cups pureed peaches 1 tsp vanilla 2 cups flour 1 tsp baking powder 1 tsp baking soda 1 tsp cinnamon 1/4 tsp salt 1 cup finely chopped pecans Directions: 1. Cream sugar and shortening together. 2. Add eggs, mix thoroughly. 3. Add peach puree and vanilla. 4. Add dry ingredients and nuts. Stir until blended. 5. Pour into 2 loaf pans 5 x 9 that have been well greased and floured. 6. Bake at 325 for 55 minutes to 1 hour. 7.
