As capital of the state of Wyoming, Cheyenne has a very rich history which you can still see evidence of. There are more than 50 historical spots like the First Presbyterian Church built in 1869. You can also visit the Governor's Mansion which dates back to 1969. As a diversion from all these historical landmarks, you can visit the Botanical Gardens with landscapes and sculptures. You should not miss visiting the Cheyenne Depot -restored and converted into a museum. No trip to Cheyenne is complete without visiting the Cheyenne Frontier Days Old West Museum to see the largest collection of horse-drawn carriages and wagons. Cheyenne bed and breakfasts are also tastefully decorated to give you a cozy experience. Also, try the taking a self-guided walking tour to the historic downtown area. You can also visit the numerous museums showcasing different items from the Old West. By Nagle Warren Mansion B&B.

Cheyenne sprang from the prairie in 1867 when the Union Pacific railroad reached here. Enjoy a symphony, shop western clothing, art and antiques, rodeo, or belly up to the bar with a real cowboy. Ride the downtown carriage or take a tour on the Cheyenne Street Trolley. There are nine museums, the state capitol complex, the Union Pacific rail yard, and Big Boy the largest locomotive ever built. There is plenty to keep you interested for several days.
