Description

Circa 1845. York House Inn is listed in the National Register of Historic Places, and has been welcoming guests since the late 1800s. Located at the beginning of the Appalachian Trail, guests can enjoy spectacular views of the Little Tennessee River Valley and the Blue Ridge Mountains from the two-story veranda. Named and decorated to reflect flowers and wine, eleven guest rooms and one suite feature private bathrooms and a variety of bed sizes and options to suit anyone’s desires. With a goal to satiate guests long past the lunch hour, breakfast is a cornucopia of treats including granola, fresh fruit, muffins and bread, and a hot entrée; all made with local ingredients when possible. The inn is proud to say that Walt Disney once stayed there and that scenes from the movie Deliverance were filmed on site.

Honeymoon

As this was our honeymoon after 20 years of searching the globe for each-other. The York House provided the peace and tranquility of our beautiful state with the history of the South. The privacy and attentiveness of the host could not be topped by any other. Be blessed as we were
