Circa 1885. This manor, which boasts views of the Blue Ridge Mountains, was built as a summer home to a family from Tampa, Fla. The interior of the home is decidedly French country done in romantic colors. Each room is special, from the Batternburg bedding in the Carolina and S'conset rooms to the four-poster bed and mountain view in the Montecito room. Each of the rooms and suites has a fireplace. The Carriage House, S'conset St. Paul de Vence Suite offer whirlpool tubs. Special amenities, such as bathrobes, fresh flowers, a decanter of port, coffee, hair dryers and toiletries thoughtfully have been placed in each room and suite. Each evening, the innkeepers offer wine and cheese, and in the mornings, a gourmet breakfast is served. Guests are free to enjoy their meal on the veranda or in the privacy of their room.
