Brookstown Inn B&B

Originally constructed as a cotton mill, located on one acre, this four-story building now offers gracious accommodations to travelers. The old brick walls, exposed wood beams and high ceilings add warmth and character to all of the rooms, including the parlor and conference room. Guest rooms are decorated with attractive colonial reproductions such as poster beds, and there are spacious suites with decorative fireplaces, sitting areas and a garden tub. Breakfast is served in the dining room, which features a large colonial fireplace set against a sunny yellow wallcovering. Evening receptions offer wine and cheese in the parlor. Just a short walk away is Williamsburg-style Old Salem Moravian Village, built in 1766.

The Augustus T. Zevely Inn

The Zevely Inn is the only lodging in Old Salem. Each of the rooms at this charming pre-Civil War inn have a view of historic Old Salem. Moravian furnishings and fixtures permeate the decor of each of the guest quarters, some of which boast working fireplaces. The home's architecture is reminiscent of many structures built in Old Salem during the second quarter of the 19th century. The formal dining room and parlor have wood burning fireplaces. The two-story porch offers visitors a view of the period gardens and a beautiful magnolia tree. A line of Old Salem furniture has been created by Lexington Furniture Industries, and several pieces were created especially for the Zevely Inn.
