If you are a connoisseur of inns, you'll be delighted with this stately mansion in the Wilmington Historic District and in the National Register. Recently chosen by American Historic Inns as one of America's Top Ten Romantic Inns, towering columns mark the balconied grand entrance. Its 14,000 square feet of magnificent space includes antique furnishings, art and amenities. A staircase of hand-carved red oak rises three stories. Guests lounge in the music room, drawing room and library. A conference room and sitting area are on the third floor, once a grand ballroom. The elegant guest rooms are often chosen for special occasions, especially the Bellevue, which offers a King bed, sofa and handsome period antiques with a 2-person soaking tub and shower.
