Circa 1770. Originally built as a post and beam cabin in 1770, William Cox Inn has recently expanded. Sitting on 28 acres in the Virginia foothills, this country B&B in Stanardsville overlooks Shenandoah National Park. Swim in the in-ground pool, play Bocce or horseshoes and relax in the picnic pavilion. The Great Room boasts a Tulikivi soapstone fireplace. Enjoy a hot beverage and treats or wine tasting in the library. The huge porch and sunporch offer incredible mountain views. Guest bedrooms in the main house are named after native trees found on the farm. Just a short walk down the hill, the more spacious and private River Cabin sits on a knoll by the Roach River.
