Circa 1915. This historic five-story inn is near Union Square and the Powell Street cable car. Beveled-glass doors open to a reception area with granite floors and English artwork. Bay windows, a relaxing parlor and displays of British collectibles contribute to the feeling of an English inn. Guest rooms are decorated with bold English wallpapers and prints. All rooms have fireplaces and private bath. Enjoy a generous breakfast buffet, and in the evenings wine and hors d'oeuvres are served in the parlor.
