“Makes Even an Ugly Duckling Comfy!”

I have stayed at the lovely White Swan twice and would gladly do so again, given the chance.
The innkeepers, Ron & Cathy, are personable and aim to please. Local produce (when available) is incorporated into the breakfast menu. (Michigan blueberries are the best!) And like many B&B owners/managers these days, yummy recipes are shared with guests and those on their mailing list.
The last time I stayed at the White Swan I was traveling solo and stayed in the Mariner room where I was quite comfortable.
The thing I like best about this B&B is the location. It's very close to where I grew up so I can easily walk and shop on Colby Street or drive just a short distance to visit friends and family. Finally I appreciate that it's in an historic home, renovated perfectly for hospitality and rest.

InnSide Tip - Do Visit Montague!
Just across the causeway, on the other side of the river and lake is the small town of Montague. It's just a few minutes away from Whitehall and has some of its own charm like the World's Largest Weathervane, Dog 'n Suds drive-in, and the hometown of Miss America 1961. Drive along Old Channel Trail, if you get a chance, and take in the scenery and the beach. Even in the rain or cooler temps., Lake Michigan is a wonderful sight to behold, and at least stick your toes in!
