Circa 1903. The romantic White Lace Inn is composed of four beautifully restored Victorian houses connected by meandering garden paths. This Sturgeon Bay bed and breakfast has inviting rooms and suites with fine antiques and ornate Victorian or canopy beds. Suites include oversized whirlpool baths, fireplaces, white linens, down comforters and many other amenities. Often the site for romantic anniversary celebrations, a favorite suite has a two-sided fireplace, magnificent walnut Eastlake bed, English country fabrics and a whirlpool. Lemonade or hot chocolate and cookies are offered upon arrival. In the morning, the delectable offerings include items such as cherry apple crisp and creamy rice pudding. Year-round activities invite frequent visits — the Festival of Blossoms, the Lighthouse Walk, Cherry Festival and the Classic Wooden Boat event, for instance. Take museum and gallery strolls, and enjoy the area's great restaurants.

We enjoyed our stay at White Lace Inn. The only down fall we had was that they didn't want to take our buy one get one free certificate through I love Inns during their peak season.

Romantic

White Lace Inn

From the beautiful decor to the delicious fruit compote and baked apple dish, the White Lace Inn exudes romance for us. A "researched" choice for our honeymoon, it met all our expectations and so much more, bringing us back for our second and tenth anniversary. With the fifteenth on the horizon, we are already making plans to visit again. The problem is deciding which room we want! With three Victorian houses to choose from, it may have to be the original romantic rose room just to make it easier to book the trip! The unlimited coffee and hot cocoa, cozy sitting area with piano in the main house, and wonderful "extras" keep us coming back to our "honeymoon" all over again. Highly recommend this to anyone who visits Door County! Kris from Milwaukee

InnSide Tip - Plan ahead on events
Take time to contact them prior to your trip. It helps with iternary. If you enjoy casual, informal activities, be sure to try the "self-tour" of historic houses in Sturgeon Bay.

Romance Is In The Air

White Lace Inn

White Lace Inn is one of the most romantic inns we have ever stayed at. Its beautifully refurbished Victorian houses & serene flower garden spell romance. There has been great attention to detail in every room. They are immaculately clean as well. In the Hadley House where we stayed there is a shared kitchen which proved very convenient during our stay. There are also beverages and snacks available at the main house all afternoon and evening. The homemade cookies are to die for. I can never seem to get enough. The full breakfasts are superb as well. The king-sized whirlpool and fireplace in our room were very relaxing after a full day of exploring Door County. Most of the staff was very friendly, however the owner could have been a bit more approachable. Since we were there for a romantic getaway and not a social event it did not really bother us. We look forward to visiting again.

An Unforgetable Experience

The White Lace Inn is one of the most delightful B & Bs I have stayed in. The rooms are immaculate, the service is friendly and the breakfasts are delicious. The surrounding gardens are beautiful, especially when the huge lilac bushes are blooming at the gazebo.
