My husband and I stayed there in April, 2013. Bill and Debbie are both so nice and so full of information regarding the history, sights, and restaurants. We were able to walk to many restaurants, and we loved taking a cool stroll in beautiful Forsythe Park each day. Bill and Debbie are a perfect host and hostess. Linetta (Tallahassee)

I can not say enough about the Whitaker-Huntingdon Inn of Savannah, Ga. This is the place I go every few months for my "Savannah Fix". The Inn is such a warm and relaxing atmosphere for a wonderful retreat. Bill and Debbie are delightful folks with a wealth of local information that makes the visit so interest. I won a stay at this amazing B & B for the 2011 Jazz Festival. Breathtaking was the first word that comes to mind. Such a wonderful experience. Bill and his wife made us feel very welcomed at home! I would highly recommend anyone to stay here. Private rooms with a cozy feel to the relaxing claw footed tub. I did not want to leave! Thank you for your hospitality and the amazing experience. We will be back.

My husband an I stayed here on our anniversary. The view of Forsyth Park is wonderful. The private kitchenette gave us total privacy, though we were more than welcome to enjoy the rest of the house. The innkeepers were hospitable and kind.

We had the pleasure of staying with Bill & Debbie for 3 days. The accommodations were lovely. The Gordon-Stewart Suite is beautifully decorated and spacious with a bay window overlooking Forsyth Park and the fountain. Just park your car & go - bus & trolley stops are only a block away. The walking distance is reasonable; not a difficult jaunt, considering how much there is to see & do. Pedicabs are a great & fun alternative! City Market & Bay Street are wonderful places to sightsee, and returning to the quaint areas surrounding Forsyth Park & the inn was a peaceful way to end a busy day. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom had soft, fluffy towels, and the kitchen was stocked with goodies for breakfast at your convenience! If you need directions, recommendations or just want to hear a good story, Bill is a wealth of historical & useful information! Our entire experience in Savannah is one we'll always remember. We're already planning our next stay here.

InnSide Tip - Don't judge a book by it's cover
Visit Parker's on Drayton & McDonough. It may look like an old gas station market, but you'll be pleasantly surprised when you enter. It's a great place to stop by after a late night ghost tour when all the other places are closed.

A great place to stay! You will be very happy at this B&B. Bill and Debbie are very nice and will help you enjoy your stay. Our two bedroom apartment was perfect for my family. The B&B is in a great (very safe and secure) place right across from the park. Go-Stay-You will be happy you did! (We are already booked for another stay in the same room.)

I have been to Savannah 4 times in 4 years, and have stayed with Bill and Debbie every time. The Whitaker Huntingdon Inn has the best location...from the bedroom window you can see the fountian in Frosyth Park. And besides the beauty and tranquility of the Park, there is always something going on there. It is located right on the bus and trolly route, not to mention walking distance to anything you might want to do, from shopping to restaurants, to entertainment. Now, you will have to have transportation if you want to visit Bonaventure Cemetery or Wormslow. River Front may require a cab home...but it is such fun. Oh yes, and the food...the Refrige is always stocked and homemade goodies for your pleasure. Pack your basket and head to park for breakfast and watching the joggers. It's just great!!!

Quaint, cozy, welcoming & clean-Sou

When we pulled up to the Whitaker-Huntingdon Inn, we were so impressed with the old Victorian architecture and welcoming feeling. The location across from Forsyth Park was perfect for long strolls with my family. The bedrooms were expertly decorated in old Victorian style and we almost expected Mrs. Jane Gordon to come strolling in with some sweet tea! But, since we are living in modern times, my 14 year old son was pleased there was free wi fi so her cold use his laptop to check his facebook page, and my 15 year old daughter was happy there were hairdryers. The kitchen was a perfect size for all of us to sit down and enjoy the continental style breakfast of yogurt, croissants, bagels, fresh fruit, pound cake, orange juice, milk, coffee & tea that Bill & Debbie provided. During the day, we explored historic Savannah, while Bill & Debbie cleaned our room & restocked our refrigerator; always asking if we needed or wanted anything special for that day. And in the evening we sat in the quaint living room for a glass of wine, cheese & crackers that we bought at the grocery store around the corner. We then went out on foot, to explore the vast night life of Savannah. We had a wonderful time bonding with each other again & are already planning our next trip to Savannah & the Whitaker-Huntingdon Inn!

The Inn is lovely, and is located in the beautiful historic district of Savannah. The owners, Bill and Debbie, showed us the meaning of true southern hospitality. Their knowledge and help was invaluable. They had the perfect answer to all of our "touristy" questions.

We had a delightful time staying at the Whitaker-Huntingdon Inn. Bill and Debbie were so helpful with suggestions for good resturants in which to eat, places to see in Savannah, easy ways to travel the city. The rooms were large and lovely; the beds comfortable, the kitchen clean and well stocked. We look forward to another visit at the Inn in the near future. Pat and Peg

Our family of 8 (including grandparents in their 90's) stayed for 4 days at the Inn. We were in Savannah for our son's wedding in Forsyth Park on 10-2-10. The accommodations were wonderful! Convenient to the park and everywhere we wanted to go. Bill and Debbie had food in the refrigerator and homemade goodies for us. We truly enjoyed our stay in their lovely home!

I visited Savannah in March with my family and the Whitaker-Hunitingdon Inn was fabulous! We felt like we had our own lovingly decorated two-bedroom apartment--with a full kitchen, living room and private patio---right in the heart of Savannah. Beautiful Forsythe Park is right across Street, and everything is a short walk away. Our host was gracious and welcoming--he gave my three-year-old some food so she could feed the fish in the garden. A great family experience in a beautiful and historic city.

When my wife and I were looking to stay in Savannah, we knew we wanted to stay in a B&B. I called around and was told of a website to email. Bill, the owner of Whitaker-Huntingdon Inn, replied within 10 minutes to let me know he had a suite available. Without even looking at pictures I told him I wanted it. It is in the perfect location, directly across the street from a beautiful park. We arrived and met Bill (a very nice individual who was willing to provide a wealth of information) and he took us to our suite. "Wow" would be an understatement. This suite (1 of 2) is more than what we expected. Very clean and true to the historic nature of Savannah. We now have found our home when we visit this wonderful city!

InnSide Tip - Lady & Son's...check out the menu
Lady and Son's was a must-visit location for my wife, and I was much obliged to tag along. We decided not to have the buffet, but instead order from the menu. The chicken pot-pie was the absolute best meal I have had in years (don't tell the wife).
