a wonderful weekend

We so enjoyed our stay at the Whispering Pines, it is a wonderful oasis set in the beautiful hills around lake Atwood. So much to see and enjoy, but the B&B invites you to relax and just be--listen to frogs on the pond and birds that fill the trees, we had the best weekend!

A Romantic 40th Anniversary

We celebrated our special day at this wonderful Inn. The place was comfortable and incredibly interesting. The grounds were full of flowers and the waterfall and brook were awesome. The owners were helpful and friendly and very nice. This is a very romantic setting and the room was excellent.

Amazing B&B!!

We had the opportunity and pleasure to stay at this B&B on February 12, 2011. From the moment we arrived on the property, we both felt a sense of calm and relaxation. We were greeted at the front door by Linda, and immediately felt welcome. We were shown to our room which was much more than we had imagined!! The whirlpool tub in the room and the large spacious room were outstanding, well kept and clean. We were also treated to home made cookies!! Breakfast the next morning was filling and delicious. We had dinner at the Lighthouse which was amazing as well. We are looking forward to another visit in the summer when we can take advantage of the lake!! Truly outstanding innkeepers who take pride in their B&B as it shows in the home, the food and the hospitality!! 5 stars!!

Celebrate life at Whispering Pines

The first time my husband and I visited Whispering Pines we knew it was very special. Staying here is like taking a break from "everything hectic". You can truly experience life at it's best. Bill and Linda make sure your stay is perfect. Breakfast never disappoints. We return on a regular basis to renew our souls.

Great Place

This place was great and the host was even greater. It respresented excellance and customer service at its finest. My husband and I nestled in and celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary. We thought the place was clean, warm, and welcoming. It is a place that will allow you to reconnect with your spouse. I would recommend it to anyone and we will definitely go back!! Thanks Linda.

ROMANTIC

We first went to Whispering Pines 10 years ago, 5 years later, got married there, and each anniversary since, have been going to Whispering Pines. It is the most romantic, comfortable, relaxing, place we have ever stayed. It is a home away from home, a place we don't want to leave. We are so welcomed by Bill & Linda (innkeepers) & feel like family each time we go there. The breakfast & hospitality are phenomenal. I can't speak highly enough about Whispering Pines & would highly recommend it to anyone. Each year, we can't wait to go back. Thank you.

InnSide Tip - Amish Country
Amish country is close by Whispering Pines and we always plan a day where we can drive into the country and enjoy a homecooked meal, take rides on country roads, & visit the unique shops it has to offer. We also enjoy being at Atwood Lake for fishing, boat rides, or just taking in the scenery & enjoy the feeling of serenity while watching the sailboats go by.

Romance at the Pines

If you and your loved one want to get away from your daily cares, Whispering Pines is an excellent choice. My husband and I have stayed here several times and found it to be absolutely delightful. Nestled next to beautiful Atwood Lake, the ambiance is just right for romance: lovely immaculate rooms, quiet surroundings, charming hosts, and many scenic delights. The rooms are so spacious and inviting, you feel pampered from the moment you step inside. I had an in room massage which was one of the best I've ever had. With both a fireplace and a jacuzzi, you and your partner just might want to stay for a week! No hustle or bustle, just the two of you enjoying your time together--love is in the air at Whispering Pines. And did I mention the superb breakfast and the nice array of dining choices close by?--you can't live on love alone!

Romantic and Tranquil Getaway

My husband and I stayed at Whispering Pines over Labor Day weekend. Most B&Bs are quaint and seem to lack that romantic appeal. Whispering Pines was neither--it was magnificent. The rooms were spacious, with comfy beds and beautiful views. They are decorated in the Art Noveau style with private balconies and a 2 person jacuzzi. With no TV or phone to interrupt the quiet, one can focus on their loved one. The grounds were lovely with great views of Atwood Lake. A couple could go for leisurely walks, hang out in a hammock or sit on the deck. As for the other B, breakfast, that wasn't standard either. Most B&Bs offer continental or eggs and meat at best. Not here, here you received gourmet--exquisite frittatas, light and fluffy pancakes, heavenly baked goods. My husband and I are foodies and haven't had better--from a B&B nor most breakfast oriented restaurants. What made the stay even better was the friendly and gracious hosts, Bill and Linda. They went out of their way to make you comfortable. They helped us with finding local interests and made dinner reservations for us while we were site-seeing. You might say that this is their job and in part you are correct. But you can tell when someone really takes an interest in you and when someone is looking at the bottom line; Bill and Linda are strictly the former. On the whole this was the best B&B we have stayed at and look forward to returning.

We Fell In Love!

My wife and I planned a romantic getaway. No cell phone, no computer, and no kids! Dawn, my wife found a place called Whispering Pines Bed and Breakfast on Atwood Lake in Ohio. Our getaway began with a beautiful drive from Cleveland passing through some of Ohio's most scenic landscapes. We made our final approach along a glass like lake to arrive at Whispering Pines smack dab in the middle of it all. The landscape leading up to the bed and breakfast was well taken care of with no detail missed. The awesome water falls and miniature ponds kept my attention the whole weekend - not to mention we could hear the calming trickle of the water from our room. As a chef in Cleveland and a stickler for hospitality I take special notice to the little things. From the friendly greeting to the at home "help yourself to a beverage in our fridge" we immediately felt right at home with none of the stress. My wife had arranged a romantic couples massage that we enjoyed in the comfort of our own room - it was great. The innkeepers were attentive and helpful, but knew exactly how much space to give us on our anniversary weekend. It was time for dinner and a wonderful restaurant was suggested to us that was right up the road - fabulous! The morning began with the aroma of fresh ground coffee and the smell of mouth watering breakfast pastries hot from the oven. Being a chef I really appreciate the made from scratch breakfast that was prepared for us. We sat on the patio at a private table, enjoyed our breakfast, sipped on coffee, and giggled about our first date and life before kids. What a memorable experience that first 24 hours was. Later that day we rented a pontoon boat and toured Atwood lake. From the lake we saw the glorious bed and breakfast and it looked like a postcard. The fairy tail had to come to an end and Dawn and I had to muster up the energy to head back to the grind Cleveland had to offer. We made a promise to each other that we would do it all over again. That was in 2006 and we have been back 3 times since. The owners Linda and Bill are absolutely great and we have recommended their bed and breakfast to many and would encourage a trip there to anyone! Good hospitality is greatly appreciated!

So Relaxing

My husband and I love going to Whispering Pines Bed & Breakfast. The rooms are so beautiful, the views spectacular, the bedding is such a high quality, the breakfast is to die for, and Bill and Linda make you feel at home. Most rooms have a fireplace and a jacuzzi which makes the rooms even more special and romantic. We stay there often when we need to unwind. Our favorite special place.

We were amazed to find such a romantic, peaceful inn so close to home. Everything was perfect. The innkeepers were congenial hosts, offering directions and giving us space to enjoy their lovely inn and tranquil views of the lake. Linda cooked a delicious breakfast. We left refreshed.

A wonderful getaway

Whispering Pines was a wonderful place to celebrate our 6th anniversary. The deck off our room was nice to just sit and relax. It almost makes you drift asleep with the gentle breeze and twitteriing of the birds. We enjoyed walking around the beautiful property looking at the lake. I especially liked sitting by the pond reading. Breakfast was scrumptious. We had a very romantic getaway. Linda made us feel so comfortable.

Surprise weekend

We very much enjoyed our stay. This is a magical place. We asked for things at the last minute and Linda made them happen. We sat at the fire pit and watched the stars and stared at the lake. The walk around the grounds, the whirlpool tub, firplace, & balcony were all very romantic. Breakfast was amazing. We can't wait to return.

Romantic night

What a beautiful relaxing world Linda & Bill have created and shared with kindness & hospitality. The romantic Honeymoon Suite will always hold a special place in our hearts, for it was here that I asked Michelle to spend the rest of her life with me as my wife. So soothing

As I sat by the soothing sounds of the waterfall, gazing at the ripples on the lake's surface, I was refreshed & renewed. To be surrounded by nature, to be pampered and cared for is the essence of joy. Our moments at Whispering Pines were so romantic and reminded us of our true priorities - to love & be loved, to smile & laugh, & to enjoy the sweetness of life. I thank Linda & Bill for creating this great pleasure.

Peaceful and Romantic

I cannot think of a better place to go & forget about the world for a few days, Some of our time was spent exploring the area, although most of it was spent hanging out at the B&B enjoying the fabuous scenery, gardens, cookies and my alone time with my husband. It was a very romantic three days.

Romantic

No one does romance better than Bill and Linda at Whispering Pines! The inn and the grounds are incredible. The views of the lake are soothing. Located on a quiet country road far from city lights and noise, there is simply no better place to relax, rejuvenate, rekindle and reconnect with your partner. The innkeepers are unlike any you will ever meet anywhere - smart, funny, interesting and interested. Linda could cook for the finest restaurants in New York or Paris! The inn is impeccably and meticulously clean, the furnishings spectacular. There simply are not enough superlatives to describe a weekend at Whispering Pines! My husband and I have been here so many times we've lost count, and we are always eager to visit again!
