Circa 1849. Listed in the National Register, this 1849 Victorian mansion combines the ambiance of a country inn with the convenience of a boutique hotel. An enormous front porch is filled with black wrought iron chairs and tables overlooking a manicured lawn on two acres. A polished oak staircase rises to a third-floor landing and lounge. Chandeliers, wall sconces and floral wallpapers accent the intimate atmosphere. Elegant, oversized guest bedrooms feature individual climate control, four-poster beds and upscale amenities like heated towel racks, voice mail, wireless DSL and refrigerators. Two include fireplaces and a kitchenette. Wake up and enjoy a morning meal in the Breakfast Room before experiencing one of New England's finest towns with a variety of boutiques, museums, antique shops and restaurants.

Thank you for the hospitality you showed us. The rooms are comfortable and quiet. I haven't slept this soundly in weeks.
