We came to just get away from it all for a couple of days as were so happy to just relax and take it easy for a while. Everything was just great!

Rose EggersWe had a lovely September trip to bike the Root River Trail. The Inn was the perfect spot to stay. It is right on the trail with tasteful, comfortable rooms. A great breakfast sent us on our way along with wonderful hospitality. This was our second time staying there and we will be back!

Jim TadeMy wife and I and another couple rode the Root River trail a few weekends ago. Tried the Wenneson sight unseen and were very pleasantly surprised. The place is immaculate and beautifully furnished. What the owners have done to restore the place is nothing short of amazing. Our hosts Pam and Barry were very friendly and the breakfast was excellent. I was made to feel very much at home. We will be staying here again!

Susan YingerMy husband and I have a tradition of riding our bikes on the Root River Trail for our anniversary in September. We've stayed at other B&Bs in the area, but this one is the best. Decorating is lovely; the bedrooms are pretty, old-fashioned Victorian-looking with many extra little touches. Bathrooms are like from a different century: modern, immaculate, and spotless. The owners treated us like friends; they were very, very nice.

K LThis was our second visit this season to the Wenneson, hope to be back before Winter again. We are always welcomed with wonderful hospitality. This is a outstanding B&B. Pam and Barry recommended eating at Lynnden Bridge restaurant for dinner in Rushford-Charming with Great food! All in all the Wenneson is a great place to stay.

Todd BWe come back to the Wenneson year after year. We love it; not only is it clean but the owners are very gracious. I have to wonder about the reviews I see here that are so unbeleivably bad. There is no public restroom or kitchen, no one has ever said we had to go to bed at 10 pm or any other time. It sounds as if these people are trying to ruin this business. We read on tripadvisor these reviews and then read the owners and we beleive the owners as we stay here alot and will continue to as I can't beleive any of those bad reviews. Ask yourself, how come all of the other reviews are good or excellent and this one groups are terrible. We stand behind the owners.

R BWhat a gorgeous weekend we've had to celebrate a Birthday. Perfect bike riding weather. Pie in Whalan and a wonderfully restful place to return to at the end of a active day and the breakfast starts it all out! Thanks

L CThanks so much for a wonderful stay. Our innkeepers were very creative and hard working people who went out of their way to extend hospitality. The rooms were very clean and the atmosphere was restful and brought us back to bygone days. The biking was great and the countryside amazing!

M KuhnThank you so much for sharing your home with us and thank you for this truly beautiful room to stay in. We usually stay in Lanesboro but believe we have found a new favorite place away from the hustle and bustle of Lanesboro. We will definately be back!

Nick SmithThis is the first time in all of my travels that I have felt the need to go on to the internet to complain about a stay. I have stayed in the finest hotels across the world and in 1$ a night huts in Africa in my travels, but never have I had worst service than at the Wenneson Historic Inn. We rented out the entire place for a family reunion last week and we are still trying to recover from our negative experience. We experienced everything from being harassed to go to bed at 10pm, having to haul our own trash out of the B&B ourselves with the trash bags that we had to provide, to even not be allowed to set the thermostat under 74 degrees. The caretaker literally wrote dozens of sticky notes with the rules and posted them throughout the house after our first night. I could keep this list going for hours, but the button line is: if you’re looking for a place to stay, please… Keep looking.

Edward DeanWhile the Wenneson is lovely in apprearance and very clean.....it seriously lacks in hospitality. We were asked to go bed by 10pm, they regulate the thermostats (and they will come in your room and adjust it), they provided no ammenities other than a less to be desired breakfast and our rooms were not cleaned throughout our stay we had to ask for more towels. There is little to no cell phone service, the WiFi is intermittent, the rooms have no clocks, dressers or closets. I would highly recommend checking into other B&B's in the area before staying at the Wenneson, the owners clearly do not have the skills to run a successful B&B.

Charles PayneQuite frankly, I never complain. However, after spending 3 nights with several other unsatisfied family members, I felt this time it was necessary. The Inn was extremely CLEAN and WELL MAINTAINED on the interior. The owners forced us to keep the thermostat at 74 degrees with just the fan on (this does NOT move any cooler air, despite it being nearly 90 degrees outside. Wanted the lights out and complete quietness at 10 PM. They continually complained that we were up past 10 PM on the front porch. Please keep in mind that were are all adults and over 40 years of age. We had no access to the living room, dining room, public bathroom, kitchen, etc. areas at all in the evening hours. And yes, we supplied our own garbage bags and we were only supplied with 1 roll of toilet paper for three days (With a large group of people) I could never recommend this to anyone.
