Recently renovated with meticulous care for its historic integrity, this Italianate sea captain's home is listed in the National Register and boasts original marble fireplace mantles, wide plank floors and a red mahogany curved banister. Relax beyond the iron gates amid a Victorian ambiance and peacefully secluded grounds with shade trees, flowers, a stone patio and two private covered porches. Sip a beverage or play the piano in the great room. Guest rooms feature a tasteful décor, walk-in closets and plush Turkish towels. Air conditioning and wifi are among the modern amenities. Linger over a European-style breakfast before going to the beach or taking a tour of the local vineyards. Its an original captain's home, fully restored after 21 months.. private, private patio and 2 private covered porches, full use of Great Room all day and into evening. piano playing in evening, 35 feet plus off road ,very quiet rooms

Cancellation:Wells House reservations must be confirmed with a credit card and are subject to a 14-day cancellation policy. You will be given a 100% refund on 14 days or more notice. In the event you must cancel with less than 14 days notice or shorten your stay, 100% of the first 2 nights, and 75% of any additional nights, will be charged to your credit card. In cases of less than 48 hours notice, 100% of your stay will be charged to your credit card.

Greenport Stay What a wonderful way to celebrate our First Anniversary. It was our first trip to the NorthFolk and we couldn't imagine it would be so enchanting. These four walls were the perfect setting for learning about the History of Greenport., and the level of comfort was as high as can be. Thank You you both for being so unbelievably accommodating + the food was spectacular! We will certainly return soon. M + L

Our first visit to Greenport,for a sailing class. Warm and Personal! The bed is So comfortable, towels plush and the bathtub delightful. Thank you for such a caring host who attended to all our needs. This Bnb ranked with some of the best bed n breakfast around the World we have experienced!
