         <description>The beauty of the Smoky Mountains and views of a quaint town abound from the porches of this romantic getaway. Listed in the National Register of Historic Places, the inn has been lovingly maintained and also renovated with an eye to modern amenities. Inside, guests will find many features original to the house including weighted windows and doors, hardwood floors, three grand staircases, and a clawfoot tub. The inn boasts eight fireplaces that have been retrofitted with propane logs. Six guest rooms feature king or queen beds, a sitting area, and a private bathroom with handmade goat's milk and lavender bath products. Guests are treated to a three-course breakfast each morning including a fruit course, entre, and the specialty meandering muffins offered in a to-go bag so that guests can enjoy them on their daily travels. After hiking to a waterfall, biking, or rafting in one the five nearby national and state parks make time to relax by the fire pit.</description>
