The Inn at Little Washington

The restaurant at the Inn at Little Washington has received five stars and five diamonds, and guests will find the experience by which they measure all other quality dining. This two-story white clapboard inn was once a repair garage. With the assistance of English designer Joyce Conwy-Evans, fantasy and romance were created with lavish fabrics, faux woods and antiques. A garden courtyard includes a gazebo and reflecting pool.

Caledonia Farm - 1812 B&B

This gracious Federal-style stone house on the National Register is beautifully situated on 115 forever protected acres adjacent to Shenandoah National Park. It was built by a Revolutionary War officer, and his musket is displayed over a mantel. The house, a Virginia Historic Landmark, has been restored with the original Colonial color scheme retained. All rooms have working fireplaces, air conditioning and provide views of stone-fenced pastures and the Blue Ridge Mountains. The innkeeper is a retired international broadcaster.
