Meadow Lane Lodge and Cottages

Located on 1400 acres in the Allegheny Mountains of Warm Springs, Virginia, the property was once part of a land grant made by King George III to Charles Lewis, a pioneer settler. The farm is also the site of Fort Dinwiddie, visited twice by George Washington. A restored slave cabin still exists and is used as a reading room. Arrowheads can be found on the grounds that were once an Indian village. Guest rooms in the main lodge are decorated with a mix of comfortable furnishings and antiques. In addition to breakfast each day, Saturday night picnics during July are complimentary as well as use of the picnic area and grill at the historic grain barn for larger groups. Enjoy walking and biking trails, a swimming hole and a grill at the Jackson River. A beaver bog, deer, fox and a variety of birds are other common sights.

The Inn at Gristmill Square

The inn consists of five restored buildings. The old blacksmith shop and silo, the hardware store, the Steel House and the Miller House all contain guest rooms. (The old mill is now the Waterwheel Restaurant.) There are three vacation apartment rentals ranging from $125-$150. A few antiques and old prints appear in some rooms, while others are furnished in a contemporary style. There are tennis courts and a swimming pool at the inn. A short walk over Warm Springs Mill Stream and down the road brings travelers to historic Warm Springs Pools.
