Circa 1889. Stay in this historic shingle-style Victorian era summer cottage for a relaxing visit to New England. Spanning two acres overlooking Penobscot Bay, sit on the veranda or in an Adirondack chair on the lawn. Victorian By The Sea is the perfect mid-coast Maine bed & breakfast inn. Spacious guest rooms and suites boast fireplaces and antique soaking or clawfoot tubs. The Cottage Room features a separate entrance and is designated pet-friendly. Linger over a satisfying breakfast made with local organic foods when possible. Ask about special packages available. The Camden, Lincolnville area offers many nearby attractions. Visit the Farnsworth Museum in Rockland and take a day to explore Acadia National Park. Maine lobster is a must with many seafood restaurants to choose from.

Victorian by the Sea

This B&B gave me and my husband the best of Maine's two worlds -- very close to shopping and sights yet a tranquil retreat in which to relax. The inn is a beautiful Victorian home that has been lovingly restored and decorated and it is very well maintained (the innkeeper is an engineer. Breakfasts were first class -- truly gourmet.
