Circa 1919. Voted the most romantic place in Pikes Peak, this Victorian inn was originally built by two sisters as the Sunburst boarding house. Welcoming guests since 1990, the inn continues to be a favorite. A honeymoon cottage in the back garden, a beautiful stained-glass door, hardwood floors, a stone fireplace in the parlor and a library are among the special features. A three-course breakfast (a winner of a national innkeeper breakfast contest) features inspired mouth-watering dishes. Nestled at the base of Pikes Peak, it is one block from the center of the historic district and close to mineral springs, art galleries, shops, restaurants and the beginning of the historic Manitou Springs Walking Tour. The Garden of the Gods and the Cog Railway are one mile away while the Cave of the Winds and Cliff Dwellings are within a quarter of a mile. Guests come back to the inn for the fine cuisine and the camaraderie with the caring innkeepers.
