The stretches from Harrisburg to Carrier Mills (7.5 miles) to Stonefort (6.7 miles) to New Burnside (4.4 miles) offer mostly flat terrain coursing through small rural towns. From New Burnside to Tunnel Hill (6.2 miles), you follow a burbling creek to the highest point in Johnson County where things really get interesting! There are some super B&Bs located in quaint towns, rural areas, and even right in the Shawnee National Forest for you to choose.
