This Valentines Day was our second visit to Trinidad Bay B&B. We just couldn't wait to go back, and we live 5-6 hours away. The first visit was our honeymoon just this past October of 2009. Both stays were perfection from the charming rooms to the yummy breakfasts made with such care by the ever wonderful, Jason the Innkeeper. I think all the rooms are lovely, and are impeccably tidy, with simply heavenly beds, and all have the most unforgettable ocean views, which are fabulous no matter the weather. They are mysterious in the fog, and will take your breath away glittering in the sun. If you go, keep the window open just a little bit at night, as the sound of the ocean and the buoy ringing in the distance will lull even the most confirmed insomniac to sleep... The area around the bed and breakfast is great for bike riding, beachcombing, rock hounding, motorcycle trips, seeing the redwoods, walking, hiking, and it's all so close. The Eatery restaurant is a skip away, and has the yummiest lunch fare with the best french fries, and don't get me started on the blueberry cobbler, though after Jason's breakfasts, it may be a "late lunch". Just ask Jason where to go, and he'll point you in the right direction...

Fred Sharman (2 reviews)We took I Love Inns suggestion to travel beyond our Eureka destination to Trinidad, to spend our time near the Redwoods, and are so pleased we did. Jason welcomed us warmly, offered suggestions for dinner and places to walk in the area, and led us to our impeccably clean and charming Crab Pot Room with fresh flowers, a spectacular view of the lighthouse and harbor, and 1000 count freshly ironed sheets! Jason’s yummy chocolate chip cookies previewed his delicious breakfast of home made scones, strata and baked apple. At breakfast, he recommended the Lady Bird Johnson trail in the Redwoods, and told us that many honeymooners have stayed at Trinidad Inn. “Once,” he said, “All four rooms were occupied by honeymooners!” We can see why! It’s a beautifully appointed, clean, hospitable, Bed and Breakfast, situated in the heart of dramatically natural beauty!
