Creative Eating

Dear Brad and Amber I want to thank you so much for our wonderful stay at your B & B. We needed a room at last minute and you provided us with what we were looking for and so much more! My wife has allergies with gluten, dairy and eggs. Brad provided her with delicious breakfasts each morning. I was able to eat whatever Brad would make and he set me off to play around Taos with a very tasty breakfast each day! The room we had (Woody) was perfect for our stay! We look forward to seeing your Inn this winter! Thanks so much for a wonderful stay and breakfast! Brad and Amber are wonderful kind folks! Thank you!

Great food, good for couples

The food was incredible. The couple that owns the inn cooks breakfast together - he as the chef, she as the baker. They are a very welcoming couple, and the inn is quite romantic. Great outdoor space to walk around and/or sit and drink a cup of coffee or tea. Very local art decorates the dining room (the owners' mom is an artist who lives on the property and whose studio is next door). Great location - close to the square and main roads, but nestled back so it feels like it's in the country. Our only concern was privacy - that the inn used to be a house and the room divisions are. it exactly soundproof. Also, the tvs were outdated (but who goes to Taos to watch tv?!). Wonderful decor, great coffee and tea in room, private balconies. (Speaking of balconies, be sure to ask for a room downstairs if oh have issues climbing or with joints, etc.) Overall a great place for a romantic getaway.

Charming Gem

The Touchstone Inn is my favorite place to stay in Taos. I’ve been coming to this town for years and only this year did I discover this gem! Now, it’s the only place I’ll want to stay when I return. We arrived late and found an envelope on the door of the Inn greeting us and giving us the information we needed to find our room with a warm note from Bren Price, the innkeeper. I fell ‘in love’ with the room the minute I opened the door – the character of the room in this adobe dwelling was had such a charming decor, a warm feeling and artistic with Bren’s own paintings. We stayed in the Lawrence room which was on the ground level. It had a small adjoining room with a bed, perfect for two who sleep separately or for a third person. Both breakfasts were lovely, delicious with a beautiful presentation of the daily feature in a restful setting overlooking quiet, treed private grounds. The staff was very friendly and accommodating to our needs. When we looked into the adjoining well-appointed gallery, I wished I had been staying for a week! I wanted to just sit for a long time in one of the white leather tall wingback chairs by the kiva fireplace and just relax in the gorgeous environment full of Bren’s paintings and jewelry. Instead of viewing the galleries downtown I choose to do just that one morning. Later, Bren gave us a private tour of her artist studio. Maryellen
