Circa 1864. Sitting on more than two acres on McKown Hill's highest point, this 19th-century sea captain's home and summer guesthouses are an oceanside escape. Overlook the scenic harbor from the inviting porch. Gather for conversation or a game by the fireplace in the living room. Guest bedrooms in the main house and guesthouses boast incredible views from the famous footbridge to the lighthouses, islands and beyond. Two rooms are pet-friendly. The Windward boasts covered porches and balconies. Start each day with a hearty breakfast of fruit, homemade granola, yogurt, baked goods, cereals and different entrees with side dishes. Walk to local shops, galleries and restaurants in the coastal village. This picturesque peninsula offers a variety of land activities in addition to the water sports and excursions available.

First of all, hosts, Brian and Ed are great hosts. We didn't want to leave! We really didn't! Located at the top of a hill right in town, the views of the ocean are truly unbelievable! Rooms are nice furnished. A great breakfast every morning and you can have whatever you want. Located just about 3 blocks from downtown, it is the perfect place to stay. Did we mention the views of the ocean? WOW ! We could have stayed a month!

Ocean Breezes

Every room at this inn offers an ocean view and breezes. The open porch is the perfect place to rock on their chairs while meeting warm friends from all over the region. We especially love the fresh fruit salad at breakfast and the fact that you can choose from the menu rather than being forced to eat whatever the owners decide to cook. Another great feature is that you can walk to town and really leave your car parked during your stay. A truly romantic place on top of the hill.
