“Exquisite Inn only surpassed by the breakfast and innkeeper.”

Everything about the Thistledown Inn B&B was amazingly wonderful. The Innkeeper, Sheila Tymon, is super duper interesting, knowledgeable about the area — she directed us to fantastic hikes, dinner at the Bees Knees, an art gallery and more! The Inn itself is beautiful, comfortable and GREEN. Go figure, you get exquisite accommodations and take care of Mother Earth. Sheila was super fun and went out of her way to make delicious, homemade breakfast accommodating my food restrictions. If you don’t stay here, you miss out. We found it central to our travels to surrounding areas. A perfect place.

“Pay Attention: This is the place you want to stay!”

Ok everybody, stop searching for other B&B's bee-cause this IS the perfect place. Located between ski areas, great shopping, dining, peace and quiet, awesome breakfasts, oh and did I mention that its registered as a green hotel. Plus the innkeeper is a beekeeper too....ahhh I can taste the honey slathered french toast now...Get in the car and go

“The perfect setting for a Vermont retreat!”

My first visit to Thistledown Inn was in the fall. The experience was so wonderful that I returned 5 months later with friends for a weekend at the Inn. Thistledown is charming, spacious, and inviting. Sheila the Innkeeper creates magical memories to all who graces her inn. She elegantly inspired an awareness of environmental conservation without loosing the feeling of comfort, and her breakfast is nothing short of amazing! I also love that Sheila is truly dedication to her community. She is truly a person to who gives from the heart. When my visit comes to an end, I immediately begin to anticipate my next trip to Thistledown.

Thanks Sheila!

Owner Sheila Tymon is a beloved pillar of the Morrisville community -- a teacher and community leader. Her fullness of spirit is everywhere felt in this beautiful house, even as she makes it a point to provide her guests with as much privacy and tranquility as possible. During our visit we were looking for a home, and Sheila took it upon herself to make a number of phone calls for us and establish some inside-connections that ultimately led to a far more successful house-hunting expedition than we'd expected. Her generosity is sincere and is a light for everyone around her. Sheila prepared phenomenal, original breakfasts, often with a side of honey harvested from her bees. On one morning, when we had to depart at a brutal 6am, we arrived downstairs to find the table set and breakfast laid out for us. The house itself is finely aged and remarkably cozy: the bedrooms you'll never want to leave, and the bathroom is among the most luxurious (and enviable) we've encountered. We have stayed in dozens of B&B's, and this one was far and away our favorite. Thanks Sheila! Sheila!

What a Joyful Weekend

It's a bit boring to give this place another 5 star review but what else can you do when it really is excellent. Externally, the house looks comparatively modest but internally it is beautifully furnished and equipped. Sheila is made for this business - a charming host who has thought of just about everything to make your stay perfect. Delightful early evening drinks and nibbles, a simple stroll to good eating places, relaxing music, a very comfortable bed and the best breakfast in two weeks touring New England. We were only there for one night but wished it had been longer. A very easy drive into or from Burlington airport if you want to make this your first or last stop in Vermont

“Wonderful home with comfortable spaces to enjoy and great innkeeper”

We only stayed one evening-but rest assured we will be back! We stayed in the Golden Thistle, nice room, private bath, has French doors to front porch, internet, dish tv service. The living room boasts a gas fireplace which took the edge off the cooler night and made for a nice gathering spot for all. Breakfast was by far one of the best in a while! I'm gluten-free, dairy-free and my requests were welcomed and the resulting breakfast was amazing. See my picture!

“caring, friendly, delicious - outstanding!”

My partner and I both thought this was one of the nicest b&bs we had ever been to. We were there for 3 nights to attend a wedding in the area. We stayed in a first-floor room, because I was on crutches. The room was comfortable and attractive, and the common spaces -- hot tub, living room, dining room, library/game room were homelike in the best way, and comfortable and welcoming as well (with many subtle bee-themed touches!). Everyone else has already commented on the phenomenal breakfasts Sheila cooks (and I noticed she accommodates various dietary restrictions.) Sheila makes everyone feel special, and seems interested in everyone in a completely genuine way. I enjoyed going to the backyard to feed the chickens with her and learning about her bees, and also sitting out there, overlooking the fields and path below. When she learned we were interested in the extraordinary stone wall sculptures that Thea Alvin makes in Morrisville, she took us to see them! It was a real pleasure to stay here.
