Wellsboro is a premier destination near the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon and other scenic wilderness regions in Tioga County. Hike and bike the trails, go white water rafting on Pine Creek, and canoe at Tioga-Hammond Lake or Cowanesque Lake. The inn has a small library with a computer. Browse the DVD/VCR collection and relax in the rock fireside living room. Guest rooms and suites are inviting retreats. Some feature gas fireplaces, a private balcony or a whirlpool. Savor a satisfying breakfast before exploring the local area. The lush backdrop makes an ideal setting for an outdoor wedding and the air-conditioned banquet room accommodates 190 guests.

Aspen Room

Aspen RoomOur largest suite features all the amenities needed for a romantic stay. Queen-size bed, sofa, eating area with microwave and frig., gas fireplace, whirlpool tub for two, and double shower will certainly add a special touchto your get-a-way. Television equipped with DVD/VCR player only. Satellite/cable not an option. -Upper level in separate building detached from the main house. Resident cats not allowed in room.

 

Sycamore Room

Sycamore RoomFeatures queen size four poster bed, lace curtains.. -Main level

 

Hickory Room

Features queen-size bed, gas fireplace, and couch. Television equipped with DVD. -Upper level.

 

Maple Room

Features queen-size bed, gas fireplace, and couch. -Upper level.

 

Oak Room

Features queen-size bed, gas fireplace, eating area, queen-size sofa. Will accommodate 4 people. Now with Satellite TV. -Upper level.

 

Cherry Room

Features queen-size bed, sofa with queen-size hide-a-bed, gas fireplace, skylight to view stars. Will accommodate 4 people. Television equipped with DVD/VCR. -Upper level.

 

Cedar Room

A private balcony overlooks the beautifully landscaped grounds and pond. Handmade quilt, queen-size bed, gas fireplace, and sitting area create a cozy environment. Television equipped with DVD/VCR player only. Satellite/cable not an option. -Upper level in separate building detached from the main house Resident cats not allowed in room.

 

Innkeeper Note

The Woods Bed and Breakfast now features a small library and computer station for your convenience in the lower level. Also, the main house is now wireless for your personal laptops. The Woods Bed and Breakfast is a newly built residence with eleven beautifully decorated suites, each designed and furnished with your comfort in mind. Satellite TV is available in the Family Room. Several rooms at the Woods Bed and Breakfast feature gas fireplaces. All rooms feature a Private Bath. Aspen, Cedar, and Cherry rooms each have a TV with DVD/VCR player only. Satellite is not provided in these rooms. You can select a VCR tape or DVD from our library or bring your own.

The grounds are beautiful and lovely to walk around with all the sidewalks and benches. I really enjoyed my weekend here.

“What a waste of money!”

This was a truly horrible experience. The bedrooms don't have keyed locks on the doors (they only lock from the inside), which we weren't thrilled about for security reasons. We somehow accidentally locked the door with us on the outside and no way of getting into our room and no way of contacting the owners to have them come "unlock" it! It felt more like a jail than a bed and breakfast! When we finally found the owners hours later, they were quite rude and charged us for replacing the doorknob!
