Circa 1901. This classical revival-style inn is built on the historical site of the Hoxie House, the Clinton House and the U.S. Hotel. Just as these famous 19th-century inns offered, the Whaler's Inn has the same charm and convenience for today's visitor to Mystic. Once a booming ship-building center, the town's connection to the sea is ongoing, and the sailing schooners still pass beneath the Bascule Drawbridge in the center of town. “A little shabby”

This place was very conveniently located directly acroos the street from the river, bridge and old Main Street. Walking distance to the Seaport. The staff was friendly and helpful. My only complaint is the room wad very run down and everything needs to be replaced. The beds were sagging and impossible to sleep in. The carpets and bedding looked bad. Clean it up a bit and it would be perfect. Great restaurant here also, Italian.
