Our first B&B experience was at Washington House Inn over 15 years ago. Ever since then we were hooked and have visited many others along the way, but always seem to return to this one. It has become our place to get away & reconnect. Its old world charm, friendly staff & owner keep us coming back. This historical building is well maintained & clean. The small town feel takes you away to another time, despite the fact that you are only minutes away from the big city and all it has to offer. The buffet breakfast served in the quaint breakfast room has something for everyone-from homemade bakery to a hot egg dish. The wine and cheese reception every night is also delightful. Many of the Cedar Creek wines they serve have become our favorites. Our favorite suite has two fireplaces as well as a double whirlpool in the upstairs loft. It has become our place to relax and unwind throughout the years. It's like coming home.

Circa 1886. This three-story cream city brick building is in the National Register. Rooms are appointed in a country Victorian style and feature antiques, whirlpool baths and fireplaces. The original guest registry, more than 100 years old, is displayed proudly in the lobby, and a marble trimmed fireplace is often lit for the afternoon wine and cheese hour. Breakfast is continental and is available in the gathering room, often including recipes from a historic Cedarburg cookbook for items such as homemade muffins, cakes and breads.
