Circa 1938. A lush landscape frames this three-story shuttered Medaterrain villa and its Italian-style porticos and verandas. Secluded on an acre and a half, the inn offers both a pool and outdoor hot tub. A queen-size bed and private sitting room is provided in La Sala di Venezia, while the Blue Grotto features natural stone walls as well as a fireside Jacuzzi. La Sala del Cielo has skylights and an ocean view in the distance. A breakfast buffet is served poolside or in the dining room. Some guests take their breakfast tray to their rooms. An 18-hole golf course is next door or you can drive to Mystic Seaport, Watch Hill or Foxwoods Casino. Newport is also a short drive away.
