Circa 1919. This handsome two-story farmhouse was built by Walter Trumbull using treasures he gathered from old Dartmouth College buildings and fraternity houses. Presiding over 16 acres with stands of maple and a meandering brook, the inn offers a cozy refuge for all, including cross-country skiers and Dartmouth College alumni and parents. The parlor features comfortable Country English chairs and sofas.

From the moment we spotted the inn and drove up the driveway, our stay here was lovely. Our only regret is that we couldn't stay longer. We will be sure to tell our friends about The Trumbull House and hopefully return for another stay at your beautiful, comfortable home.

Hilary, yet another memorable family time at Trumbull House. Thanks so much for a very special few days. This is the only place we go to bed thinking about breakfast!

Yes, this is a beautiful, comfortable, roomy old inn in a beautiful setting. Yes, the custom breakfasts are nothing less than gourmet. But the best reason for staying at The Trumbull House is the warmth, grace, good humor and relaxed professionalism of your hosts, Hilary Pridgen and her daughters. This is absolutely a destination B and B.

We come to Hanover because our daughter has appointments at the nearby Dartmouth Hospital. We have always been welcomed and cared for so well by Hilary at The Trumbull House. The food is wonderful, many choices and fresh eggs! The rooms are spacious and varied and clean. Mostly we have appreciated the kindness and flexibility. Brennan Michaels John beattie Emily Beattie
