This place was extremely clean, comfortable, and welcoming. The food for breakfast was excellent and the hostess was very friendly and accommodating! Very reasonably priced as well.

Circa 1884. J.P. Hazard, an influential member of one of the county's most prominent families, built this home, which resembles a English-country stone manor. The rooms are appointed with a beautiful collection of antiques, and each guest room has a fireplace and sitting area. Down comforters, carafes of sherry and candles are among the romantic amenities. After a restful night's sleep, guests are presented with a gourmet breakfast. French toast, made from Portuguese sweet bread, or rich, chocolate pancakes topped with an orange sauce might appear as the daily entree. The home is listed in the National Register of Historic Places.
