Innkeeper Note

Rated by Lonely Planet for "The Best Sunset," this bed and breakfast is located south of downtown Healdsburg in the Russian River Valley. B&B Encyclopedia exclaims it is "Nestled in the heart of the Sonoma Wine Country." Because the Raford Inn is located in its own valley, there are no other homes. This is probably why Wine Spectator Magazine said, "The sweeping vineyard views here may be among the best in the region." The B&B offers the right balance of peace and quiet with easy access to wineries, the Russian River, giant Redwoods, and the Sonoma Coast. 125 years ago, this B&B was a summer home and ranch house for Raford Peterson. He used it to maintain his 1,300 acres of hops, the original crop for the area. The Inn was lovingly restored into a bed and breakfast 25 years ago. It now offers six guestrooms, all with private bath, Queen beds, air conditioning, and some offer fireplaces and decks. An evening wine reception and full breakfast are served each day.
