Circa 1829. Stay in the heart of Pottsville, Pennsylvania, at a historic Victorian inn. The very first tenant installed the mezuzot in 1831; there are currently six mezuzot with a Hebrew verse from the Torah on doorposts in the bed and breakfast. Sit at a table for two for a gourmet breakfast of omelets, quiche, or French toast. Snuggle in a plush robe by the private ensuite fireplace. You can reserve a seat or schedule an intimate gathering in the onsite tearoom then walk to unique shops and local restaurants. For brew fans, take a tour and sample the beer at Yuengling, the oldest brewery in the country. Learn about local history at The Schuylkill County Historical Society or journey underground at Crystal Cave, the most popular natural attraction in the state. Then go white-water rafting, hike part of the Appalachian Trail, or join a hawk watch tour. Spend an evening watching a performance at the Schuylkill Ballet Theater or Sovereign Majestic Theater.

Allyson, you are the daughter we so wish we had-if we could start our lives again- I retired from the hotel business in 1999 after 21 years- your attention to detail is amazing for such a young entrepreneur. Your warmth and caring personality show throughout your home. We found a new home here in PA. This makes the unpleasant things we had to go through wit h selling the family home and all its contents so much better. At night we could unwind and have a nice quiet evening. It is so calm and comfortable. Your mother is fantastic. I see where you get it. Please call me anytime when you need advice. We look forward to our return in the fall! Fondly, Louise and Greg P.S. I can't say enough about your cooking and baking. However, I'm sure my scale will do the talking.

"Dear Allyson, From the moment we entered your lovely B&B we felt special and welcome. What a wonderful experience and great place to stay in Pottsville (Karen's paternal family's home town). One can walk just about anywhere with the location of the B&B, especially after a delicious, homemade and filling breakfast. Keep pursuing your culinary dream, Allyson. The dishes we had were very creative with a great balance of sweet and spicy and great texture. The next time we visit we're going for the waffles, although your quiches and the frittata were out of this world. The lord has given you many special gifts Allyson. We pray He continues to bless and prosper your Inn, keeps you and your loved ones safe and healthy and guides you in the way that you should go. All the little touches throughout the Inn are excellent (snacks, sitting rooms, antiques, comfortable beds!)." Lord bless you! Tim and Karen

Dear Allyson, The week that Sean and I have spent with you has been nothing short of spectacular! From the moment you greeted me with a big, warm welcoming hug, I have felt completely at home and every day since has been a wonderful treat, from the amazingly delicious bre akfast to the afternoon and evening treats, but most importantly, to your company. Allyson, you have a wonderful place here, and I count myself lucky that you were so kind to share it with us this week. It's not everyday that we have the opportunity to break bread [or share pasta :-)] and go out to karaoke with someone as special as you! Words cannot sufficiently express our gratitude for everything you've been and done for us this week. Thank you for that and more!

Allyson, Thank you for another delightful stay! We are pretty sure you sprinkle magical fairy dust on the beds to make them so comfy. You are such a warm, kind host. Thank you for letting us try the pumpkin whoopie pies. They were divine. The suite was very special.

"Allyson, the first thing Barry said when he told me about the Maid's Quarters was that the hostess was absolutely charming on the phone. Your attention to detail in decorating is incredible. Our only regret is that we arrived too late and are leaving too early to enjoy the suite. Without even having breakfast, we would highly recommend your B&B." ~Lianne and Barry PS. amazing breakfast! you truly are a ray of sunshine

Allyson, It is my hope that your business will be successful, but my message to you is that you have already succeeded, for you have had the courage to have a dream, acknowledge it, and do the work necessary to make it happen. So many fall short of any or all of these. I salute you and thank you for what you do and the blessings you pass on to others, for your positive spirit is contagious. We need your light in the world. May God continue to bless you richly.
