Description

Circa 1840. Once a family home with a general store, the inn now serves as a place of relaxation, restoration, and inspiration. All six guest rooms boast towering ten-foot ceilings, king or queen beds, a sitting area, and a private bath. Breakfast is comprised of a freshly-made sweet and a savory entrée accompanied by fruit. The signature bagels, which reflect the unique themes of the guest rooms, are sometimes available during breakfast or as a mid-afternoon snack. After breakfast, find a quiet bench on the manicured grounds to sit and reflect before heading out to explore Hershey, Harrisburg, or Lancaster. Ideal for intimate receptions or stately meetings, the basement conference room features stone walls, wooden beams, a gas fireplace, and a wood table that seats 20 people. The inn also serves as the headquarters for Healing Tree International.

Romantic Interest

Our Hershey Inn is very ornate and eloquent. Whether one is staying in a room or lounging in the living room by the fire place or sitting under the beautifully lite patio on our manicured grounds under the stars, the atmosphere is rich for couples seeking a romantic getaway. Even the gourmet wholesome food caters to the rich sense of a great romantic experience.

What's Green About Your Inn

What is "green" at our inn is the fresh vegetables we implement from our very own garden on the grounds, as well as from our local Farmer's Market. We are also electric sensitive, wherein we use energy efficient bulbs in some place throughout the inn, our lights on the outside grounds are timer operated, we have little fun facts in every guest room's private bathroom in how they can save water and be mindful in being environment friendly and we recycle. With our efforts in this direction we have been awarded by TripAdvisor as being a Green Leader Bed and Breakfast.

Describe Garden and Grounds

Our grounds are manicured and we have a nice size garden where fresh produce is grown and implemented in our breakfasts. Also whether our guests want to enjoy their breakfast or enjoy sitting outside under the stars (whether permitting) our patio is the place to be. Surrounded by a gorgeous array of hanging flowers and ferns and at night staying warm next to the patio fire pit, catching a glimpse of a beautiful sunset, either way our grounds is worth enjoying!

Cancellation

Our business depends on our reservations. Our cancellation policy is business, not personal. With a limited number of rooms, cancellations of all confirmed reservations must be made 10 days prior to your arrival to receive a full refund, less a $25.00 service fee. This gives us time to re-book and keep the Inn going! If your reservations are for a holiday, a special event, or if you have reserved multiple rooms, a 30 day cancellation notice is required. If required cancellation notice is not provided under the terms of our cancellation policy, you will be responsible for payment of all nights reserved. If we are able to re-book your room(s), you will not be responsible for those nights less a $25.00 service fee. Once you arrive, you are responsible for each night of your reservation, regardless of your actual length of stay. No-Shows will forfeit any deposit and will be charged for your entire reservation.

Historic Interest

Our Inn was built specifically around 1840 and has been restored to its original building infrastructure, as well as kept the same brick work and stone work as one would see downstairs. Also it was believed that our Inn back in the day was used during the underground railroad and one would find it hard to miss the markings on the stone walls downs stairs in the pool/billiards room where it is believed that as the escaped slaves were hiding out there were keeping count of their days in hiding.
