“GREAT B&B + CLOSE TO AMANA”

We were not disappointed by this B&B. The proprietors are extremely friendly. They have a lovely place and serve an elegant full breakfast. There were 4 of us and we had 2 rooms upstairs. They checked to make sure everything was okay and if we needed anything. Very gracious. We were just a few minutes from the Amana Colonies which we got to see all of in 2 days. What a wonderful place. I'd go back in a heartbeat. Gayland and Donna from Nebraska

We had a large group, and unfortunatly the B & B did not have enough staff to handle our group. Our meals were not all delivered at the same time and one of us was forgotten completly. We also witnessed the staff eating as they delivered our meals. The meal was not anything spectacular as we expected home cooked with the prices we were charged. The potato was overcooked and the meat for the most part would have been called luke warm. As for the mystry part of the evening, it was quite enjoyable.

Management Response

Although every effort is made to make each experience exceptional, even great employees can have a bad day and make mistakes. The cook miss counted and the food was short but the meal was prepared and delivered, although slightly late. Sometimes there are more factors involved in why a guest is unhappy and we are saddened that this is the case. We pride ourselves in the service and the atmosphere that we provide. Hopefully all of the other great reviews will testify to the fact that we provide a wonderful murder mystery bed and breakfast experience to our guests and have done so for over 13 years. “Romantic adventure”

Our visit at this Inn was one of the most pleasurable and peaceful. Lovely place to hold a wedding or reception. The hosts are wonderful and we felt like "family". Even the neighbor across the street greeted us and made us feel so welcome. Can't wait to return again.

About the Lion & the Lamb B&B Wonderful! We were looking for something special to do with my mom for her 65th birthday. It was the first she was spending since my father passed away. My sisters and I found this B&B, and were intrigued by the Murder/Mystery Dinner. To say the least, we had a great time. We all laughed ourselves to tears. The rooms were amazing, as well as the food and hospitality. The place was absolutely beautiful. A definite jewel! Gina W.

My daughter and I wanted a get-a-way for just the two of us. A special time to bond and escape the business of life. It was fantastic. They welcomed us with open arms and we felt so at home! Rachael and her sister Bernice made us feel like part of the family:)! The room was outstanding and the food was super! Everything was so clean and fresh. We loved it and will go back next year. Lots to do in the area and a great place to be! You should try this B&B - It's the BEST EVER:) :) It was all smiles and total relaxation!
