Description

Circa 1873. This exquisite inn is consistently named as one of the nation's best, and it is quite deserving of its four-star and five-diamond rating. The inn is situated on the Saugatuck River and guests can meander by the water on the boardwalk. The renovation of this National Register gem cost upwards of $15 million, and the result is evident. Rooms are masterfully appointed with the finest fabrics and furnishings. The Acorn Room is a stunning example. Walls are painted a deep red hue, and guests slumber atop a massive canopy bed enveloped in luxurious yellow fabrics. The conference room is filled with regal touches. Guests can enjoy a European-style continental breakfast in the Drawing Room. There are ample amenities, valet and room service. Gourmet dinners can be enjoyed at the inn's restaurant. Westport's posh boutiques, art galleries and antique shops are a stone's throw away.
