Circa 1873. Just 800 feet from private Lake Joseph this 135-year-old Queen Anne Victorian Country Estate is surrounded by a 2,000-acre wildlife preserve. Common rooms include the billiard and game rooms. Guest rooms feature working fireplaces and whirlpool baths. Manor House rooms are decorated with lacy linens, dried flowers, Persian rugs and period pieces. The estate also offers accommodations in the rustic Carriage House and Cottage where pets are welcome. Most include kitchens, cathedral ceilings, private sundecks, working fireplaces and whirlpools. A sumptuous breakfast is served on the seasonally screened-in or glassed veranda.
