Circa 1875. Built by a lumber baron in 1875, this grand, red-brick mansion features examples of Queen Anne, Classic Revival and Italianate design. The mansion boasts 11 stained-glass panels and the front parlor still has its original plaster friezes, ceiling medallion and a marble fireplace. The dining room's oak-paneled walls include a secret panel. The library is stocked with interesting books and games, and classical compositions and Victorian parlor music are piped in. The second floor offers a host of places perfect for relaxation, including a small game room, mini library and a sun porch. Rooms are filled with antiques and unusual pieces such as the Tower Suite's octagonal post Gothic Revival bed. The carriage house suites include a sitting room, refrigerator and either a whirlpool or large, soaking tub.
