Circa 1927. This hotel, the only lodging in Evanston's Lakeshore Historic District, was built by a local architect. The Colonial structure is very much unchanged from its beginnings in the 1920s. Several rooms offer views of Lake Michigan, which is just two blocks away. Northwestern University also is just a two-block walk from the hotel. The inn harbors the nationally renowned restaurant, Trio, acclaimed for its contemporary cuisine.
