Circa 1880. Voted by National Geographic Traveler as one of "America's 54 Great Inns", The Taos Inn is a historic landmark with sections dating back to the 1600s. The inn's authentic adobe pueblo architecture enhances the inviting wood-burning fireplaces (kivas), vigas and wrought iron accents. Handsomely decorated rooms include reflections of the area's exotic tri-cultural heritage of Spanish, Anglo and Indian in the hand-loomed Guatamalan Indian bedspreads, antique armoires and Taos furniture. The Doc Martin's well reviewed restaurant includes the legendary Adobe Bar. Ancient Taos Pueblo and the historic taos Plaza are nearby.
