Circa 1895. A local landmark since the 1800s, this regal Queen Anne Victorian castle sits on a hill overlooking the city. The home was painstakingly restored to retain its historical integrity while offering elegant comfort in an earth-conscious manner. Ornate woodwork, stained glass and incredible antiques create an elegant ambiance. Themed guest bedrooms evoke a distinct European flavor, with a hand-painted mural of the Taj Mahal, heated Italian marble floors, Dutch tiles and French bath fixtures. Other accommodations include the Carriage House, a private bungalow with a kitchen. The morning meal may feature eggless quiche potatoes with mixed peppers, onions, mushrooms and fresh rosemary; seasonal fruit plate with edible flowers; smoothies; organic coffee, tea and juices.
