Circa 1872. Gaslights illuminate the brick pathways leading to this 130-year-old Italianate-style, expanded farmhouse. The inn boasts two elegant parlors separated by original pocket doors, a spacious dining room and a first-floor guest room with wheelchair access that opens to a large, brick patio. An open switchback staircase leads to the second- and third-floor guest rooms, all individually decorated in traditional and European furnishings. Some of the rooms feature covered decks, fireplaces, whirlpool tubs and steam showers for two. Guests are invited to enjoy a hearty or heart-healthy breakfast and inn-baked cookies and brownies and refreshments in the afternoon. Winter weekend packages are available and carriage rides, private guides and a variety of activities can be arranged with the help of the innkeepers.

Very nice

Mike, Becky and Elizabeth were all very nice and helpful. In anticipation of our visit, Mike was very delightful to deal with and helped set up a private tour guide for our visit to the battlefield. He also made reservations for us at the Dobbin House for dinner which was excellent. The inn was very quaint, well-decorated, and a pleasant place to spend a few days. Our room was cozy and comfortable. We couldn't have asked for more. The location is also very convenient. It was a bit too cold to walk anywhere in the town, but we could see where a lot of attractions would be within walking distance. If you're going to be in Gettysburg, definitely give The Gaslight Inn a try. You won't be disappointed.
