Historic Interest
The home's builder was Dr. Lewis M. Early who was a pioneer in the development of x-ray technology for medical use. In 1909 he sold a patent to Eastman Kodak for a process that stored x-ray images on photographic paper. Eastman reportedly paid him an astounding $1,600,000 for his discovery.

About Our Rooms
Early Room
Named after the homes original builder Dr. Lewis M. Early. This room features an ensuite marble tiled shower bath, decorative fireplace and comfortable seating. It also has stunning custom designed hand stenciled ceilings, hardwood floors and great garden views.
Tussing Room
Named in honor of the homes second owner, L. Benton Tussing, who was a prominate attorney and real estate developer. It features a queen-sized half tester bed. The Wedgewood color is inspired by the original Wedgewood fireplace with marble surround. Original Greek key crown moulding and hardwood floors create a very elegant space. The marble tiled bath is shared with only one other room and has a clawfoot tub with shower combination.
Madry Room
Named in honor of the home's most previous owner, Marie Madry. who founder the Garden Manor Cultural Arts Center here in 1980. The room features rich colors in golds, chocolate and azure blue. It has georgous art and the most comfortable reading chair in the house! The marble tiled bath is shared with only one other room and has a clawfoot tub with shower combination.
Guest House Suite
The original 1892 office building of Dr. Early is a separate free standing structure located just across the garden from the main house. It's features include a living room, bed room with a queen-size bed, full kitchen and bath. Amenities also include fireplace, beautiful stained glass windows, a full sized washer and dryer, cable TV and high-speed internet connection. This space is perfect for the business traveler who wants privacy and convenience as well as small groups and families traveling together. It will comfortably sleep four with a roll a way bed in the living room.
