My husband and I had a delightful weekend at the Gables. The Huron Room was comfortable and well furnished. The innkeepers had thoughtfully provided everything we needed. The breakfasts were outstanding and Judy graciously shared her recipes with me. The bottomless cookie jar was a big hit with my husband. We especially liked the chocolate chip cookies - they are GREAT!!!!

We really enjoyed our stay at this B+B over the 4th of July weekend. It's located away from the crowds but still with great access to Mackinac island and Mackinaw city. There are a number of nice amenities including a hot tub and a very tasty and original homemade breakfast. The innkeepers are very hospitable and were also helpful with information about the area including where to see the fireworks. The only slight downside was having to share a shower down the hall but the rooms themselves were great too.

We look forward to our annual stay at the Gables every year. We love to go and relax, enjoy the beautiful scenery and most of all the hospitality. Jim and Judy are the best!

My husband and I stayed at this BnB it was our first time at a BnB. We absolutely loved it. The hospitality was just so warm and inviting. We arrived very late and the Innkeepers were waiting with the light on; delicious homemade chocolate chip cookies; and a warm smile. We wanted to play golf nearby and the Innkeeper provided us with a printout with directions and made us a Tee Time. The room was so bright and cheerful the bed was extremely comfortable. We slept like "rocks" not babies:) Judy & Jim are so gifted with their cooking skills. Jim made maple bacon encrusted with pecans OMG so wonderful and Judy well she could be a chef in any fine restaurant. The breakfast were just superior. Judy & Jim were fantastic hosts and we will definitely be going back.

My husband and I visit BnB's at least once a year, so we have a few experiences with which to compare our stay at The Gables. We stayed overnight on July 4th and had a really enjoyable time, mainly due to the genuine warm hospitality from the Inkkeepers, Jim and Judy. Our room was large and clean, the home is nicely decorated with period antiques and other furnishings, and Jim and Judy make a delicious breakfast.

InnSide Tip - Cheboygan things to do
Ask the innkeepers for tips on where to eat, where not to eat, and what tourist traps to avoid or visit. Our recommended a great restaurant, Mulligan's, and also a great boat cruise around Mackinac Bridge.
