Circa 1890. Near Lake Lure, this premier mountain destination is open year round. Spanning two acres, The Esmeralda Inn offers stunning views of Chimney Rock, the Rocky Broad River and the surrounding Hickory Nut Gorge. Located 27 miles east of Asheville, North Carolina, the inn has been recently renovated and offers sophisticated amenities and rustic elegance. The Esmeralda now hosts a new restaurant with celebrity chef Michael Parise ("Celebreality" and the new reality show "Dear Chef"). Cuisine specialty is giving old fashioned comfort foods a fresh twist. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served. Inn guests receive discounts on all three meals. Wine and cheese are served to guests from 5PM-6PM. Complimentary coffee and tea are available in the lobby each morning.
