Circa 1886. The cobblestone courtyards, fountains, and lush gardens surrounding El Presidio are filled with an old-world Southwestern ambiance. The inn is comprised of a Victorian-Territorial adobe built around a traditional zaguan, or large central hall, plus separate suites in the former carriage house and gate house. Innkeeper Patti Toci conducted a 10-year, award-winning restoration of this inn. Rooms are immaculate, romantic and richly appointed. Gourmet breakfasts are served in a dining room that overlooks the courtyard. Beverages are served throughout the day. This inn was voted the "Best B&B in Tucson" for 1995-96 and the "Best B&B in Southern Arizona" for 1998. Restaurants and museums are nearby.
