“Great amenities, great hospitality”
John MStroudsburg, PA
We stay in 4 or 5 B&Bs each year and would rank this stay at the top. Mae and Mandy were great hosts and take an extra step to make you feel right at home. The Inn is lovely and the croissant french toast breakfast with the gorgeous setting was superb! We stayed 2 nights in the Swan Room with the hugh brass bed and our friends had the Pink Belleek Room. Lovely furnishings, comfortable, very clean, warm and cozy.

“Classy and comfortable”

We stayed one night at The Chatelaine, and we wish we could have stayed longer. Mae is a wonderful lady who made us feel right at ease. Her place is beautiful and elegant...very Victorian. We rented the Swan Room and absolutely loved it. The king sized brass bed was amazing. She had brandy for us in the room, and soft drinks right outside the door. The amenities were perfect - lots of towels, books, pillows. Her croissant french toast was the best breakfast I think we have ever had at a B&B, and she was kind enough to share the recipe. She has kitties, but does not allow them in the guest rooms. We will definitely come back here!

“One of the very best...”

I have been coming to state college for the past 6 years or so and always stay at the Chatelaine where the lodgings are both comfortable and unique in character. Mae & Mandy are the most gracious hosts ever and the breakfasts are just terrific to say the least. I would recommend this fine B&B to anyone venturing to State College. If you are a motorcyclist such as I, then the surrounding country side offers some very nice scenery along with a variety of good roads.

“Wrapped in Caring”
Dodi & Jack S11/17/2009
The Chatelaine is by far the best B&B I have ever stayed in. The excellence goes far beyond physical space and amenities - it includes feeling pampered and special and cared for just like family. My husband and I heartily recommend it to everyone!!

“Hidden Gem”

Very generous and accommodating hosts. Romantic, clean and elegant furnishings.
From the curb this "old" house hides the secrets that lie within. Once inside the door you are surrounded by elegance. Swan room especially wonderful. Would love to visit again.
