Description

Circa 1882. This Victorian hotel is located one-half block from the ocean on the oldest street in the historic district of Cape May. Breakfast at the Villa is a memorable event, featuring dishes acclaimed by the New York Times and Frommer's. Homemade fruit breads, Italian omelets and Crab Eggs Benedict are a few specialties. Meals are served in the Mad Batter Restaurant on a European veranda, a secluded garden terrace or in the sky-lit Victorian dining room. The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, dinner and cocktails daily. The decor of this inn is decidedly Victorian with period antiques and wallpapers.

Management Response
Dear Guest of the Carroll Villa: We are happy to hear that you enjoyed our location and that the food was wonderful. We are very sorry that you were disappointed in the room and that you had to clean the ceiling fan.. I truly apologize for that .We are a 135 year old Historic Landmark hotel, that we take great pride in, in the summer it is very hectic- this is no excuse, I have spoken to our housekeeping staff about this oversight. I hope that you will give us another chance and visit us the next time you are in Cape May. Have a good summer. Sincerely, Kathi McLaughlin Hotel Manager Mark, Pam, Kathi &The Carroll Villa Staff
